{ She's a big girl now... }
OMG. Seriously... where did time go? It's like Sofia grew up into a little toddler in California or something because she's doing big girl things now.
Like:
*holding her spoon perfectly steady now and scooping up soup in it well*
*refusing to drink out of a sippy cup but wants a regular cup instead* WTH?
*says "Mama, caca-cacaaaaaaaa* when she goes poopie* Mental note: buy a potty for her to start potty training her. sniff sniff.
mmm... that's all I can think of right now but oh yeah! She still wants to breast feed but as much as it breaks my heart, I'm not giving in. She's turning 20 months old this 20th. I want to have her completely weaned from breast milk before her 2nd bday. That makes me sad too because it's another reminder of how fast she's growing but ah well... c'est la vie.
*crossing fingers*
Today I had another "womanly" check-up at the woman's clinic. Yeah, you know, the dreaded annual check up. Only, I just had mine 6 months ago. Remember I had a pap come back positive? Well after I had that colcoscopy done and it come out clear they just told me I had to go back in another 6 months (today) for another pap. Just "in case", you know? So now I have to wait for the results again. OMG, I swear the wait is always so dreadful because you try to think positive but sometimes I can't help but worry... eesh. I'm crossing my fingers though. Keep you posted. =)
"Son mocos Guey..."
While I was in California on vacation, Sofia got a cold. Her runny nose seemed to never end, seriously. Like who gets a cold in the summer? What the heck? LOL Crazy times we're getting into. Anyway, my sister's BFF asked me to do some maternity shots for her. We were in my sister's room, I had Sofia on my hip, I was reviewing pics on the camera, my sister and her BFF are standing there patiently, staring at Sofia, and waiting for my next intructions. Then I hear this:
My sister: *looking at Sofia* awww, look at her face, it's so dry
Her BFF: Son Mocos, Guey...
My sister: *shocked* Oh.
Me: [busts out laughing] Yeah, those are her smeared dry boogies, sorry. They seem to never end.
LMAO! OMG. You had to be there. They said it in all seriousness too. You just HAD to hear it! OMG, I die laughing just remembering it. hahahahaha
Back!
Well, Howdy! I'm back y'all! And it feels SO good to be back. Like for real... It was wonderful to be able to spend time with family and all but I'm never and quote me when I say this, "NEVER" going on vacation for more than 2 weeks by myself with Sofia. Four weeks was just too long! My whole family was wonderful with me, don't get me wrong and made me feel very welcome but there's just nothing like your own little space with your own little routines, ya know? I missed that for sure. But I'm home now! That's what matters! Here is a list of hightlights and lowlights of my vacation time.
